CFM’s Engineering Department is headed by William H. Reese, a licensed Class I Unlimited Power Engineer in the District of Columbia and Maryland, and a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Virginia.  Our Engineering Department is available for inspections, inventories and on-call support to the On-Site Engineer.  Supplemental services are available to assist in the development or refinement of a preventive maintenance program or special projects such as elevator modernization installations and repairs, concrete restoration and construction, building tuck-pointing. Win Houdeshell, our senior maintenance supervisor and property inspector, is also available for supplemental service, to conduct OSHA compliance reviews of the property and provide written prioritized reports to the Board, as well as inspection services and maintenance support.

Our staff has the ability to identify and solve your maintenance issues quickly and effectively utilizing our network of carefully screened vendors—vendors who know the level of service and quality our clients expect. As part of our maintenance program, we provide regular site inspections of the property, present our findings to the Board, and assist in securing bids when maintenance work is needed.

As part of our ongoing effort to give greater value to our services for communities and their residents, we have established relationships with major suppliers of products used on the property or in the home.  Currently, programs include:

• Duron Paint for preferred contractor pricing for the community and special discounts for residents at all Duron Stores; 
• BFI provides preferred pricing for recycling and trash removal services;
• Sears Contract Sales for contractor pricing on a wide variety of appliances, heating and air conditioning equipment and other equipment needs;
• Maintenance Warehouse for discounts on tens of thousands of maintenance items from their catalogue of parts and products used on the property;
• Mohawk Carpet provides technical assistance and preferred pricing for carpet materials and installation services;
• Industrial Lighting offers special pricing and on-site consulting on electrical and lighting needs;
• Cosons Office Supply offers special discounts on office supplies and office furniture.
